Many focus on maintaining the status quo and living on “what ifs.” They stick to conventional paths and ideas instead of reinventing with something more unique that brings them greater joy. However, some individuals break the mold and defy the norms, unafraid to take the leap and follow their passion. One such individual is Michelle Beyda, a power player whose go-getting attitude and unrelenting passion have catapulted her to the top of her field.

Hailing from Silicon Valley, California, Michelle Beyda has always had a unique zest for life. She loves to see the world, travel and experience new cultures and people. In fact, she has spent much of her time visiting several places all over the world, including the Netherlands, Norway, the UK, Italy, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Panama, and French Polynesia.

A free-spirited individual, Michelle is not without struggles. She shared her hurdles and triumphs, saying, “One of my main struggles was achieving my degree. I took 23 years to complete my college education, and I’m proud to say I came out of it with a Master’s Degree. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in school during those 23 years – I appreciated it more and found it easier to learn at an older age. I don’t think I could do that again now! So I’m really happy I did it when I did.”

As a single mom completing her education, Michelle joined the nine-to-five workforce but she eventually discovered she enjoyed making her own time. As such, she traded a desk job to become an independent contractor. It wasn’t too long before she started with the online streaming platform, Bigo, to supplement her income. Now in the entertainment realm, Michelle applies her vast people skills and passion for hosting on the live streaming platform, helping people connect in a positive, healthy, and creative way.

With Bigo, Michelle Beyda has the best of both worlds – doing what she loves and having the flexibility to travel. She is currently completing her fourth year on Bigo Live and appreciates the opportunities she has had. In addition to hosting on the live streaming platform, the thriving individual also runs an agency where she provides her hosts with support and incentives while answering their questions.

“This line of work is a real opportunity for flexibility, even though the trade-off is working/being on call 12-14 hrs/day, seven days a week. It’s also very different from anything else I’ve ever done. It’s creative, flexible, entertaining, and challenging, and I’m lucky to be making enough money to support myself this way,” Michelle said.

When asked about the motivation behind her unrelenting entrepreneurial fire, the go-getter shared, “I’m inspired by many young people today who are also trying to stay out of an office. So many are creating their businesses and opportunities or writing their own rules, and watching and learning from them is exciting.” In the coming years, Michelle Beyda aims to continue doing what she loves: hosting her online community and traveling to see more beautiful spots the world has to offer.
